This is an Unmarked Civil War Era Percussion rifle chambered for 58 caliber projectiles. It features a 28-inch barrel, percussion ignition system, steel ramrod, and folding rear sight. Overall, this rifle is in good vintage condition with normal age-related wear. The original finish has been cleaned, rendering the manufacture marks unidentifiable. The barrel bands have "U" proof marks and the barrel is dated 1863 with "VP" proofs with Eagle's head. Bore condition is good with strong rifling. This would be a good choice for collecting.
