This is an antique German-contract Steyr 1871 carbine chambered in 11mm Mauser. It features a 20-inch barrel, 1-round capacity, folding ladder rear sight, wing protected front sight, full-length Mannlicher stock, and sling swivels. Overall, this carbine is in fair condition with multiple cracks in the handguard. Bore condition is fair with signs of pitting throughout strong rifling. The metal has normal age-related finish wear. The receiver, barrel, and nose cap have matching serial numbers, all other serial numbers are mismatched. There are no import marks. The receiver is dated 1876 and 1877. Due to age, this carbine is being sold as-is.
