This is a vintage Springfield Armory 1898 Krag Jorgensen rifle chambered in 30-40 Krag. It features a 30-inch barrel, 5-round capacity, folding ladder sight, leather sling, bayonet with scabbard, and wood stock. Overall, this Springfield is in good condition with normal age-related finish wear on the barrel, receiver, and stock. Bore condition is good with strong rifling. Based on serial range, this rifle was manufactured circa 1899. A cartouche is visible on the left side of the stock and the initials "HA" are carved into the bottom of the stock, forward of the trigger guard. The bayonet is U.S. marked and dated 1900.
