This is a used Oviedo Spanish Mauser Model 1916 Short Rifle chambered in 308 Winchester. It features a 22-inch barrel, 5-round internal magazine, adjustable rear sight, wing protected front sight, and bayonet lug. Overall, this Mauser is in good vintage condition with age-related wear to the finish on the barrel, stock, and receiver. The receiver, bolt, and bottom metal have matching serial numbers. The crest on the receiver ring is no longer visible. There are import marks discreetly located near the muzzle. The bore has some corrosion with strong rifling.
