This is an antique French MLE 1866 Chassepot rifle chambered for 11mm black powder paper cartridges. It features a 32-inch barrel, single-shot breech loading action, bayonet lug, cleaning rod, sling swivels, and folding ladder rear sight. Overall, this Chassepot is in good vintage condition with normal age-related finish wear throughout the barrel, receiver, and stock. Bore condition is good with strong rifling with some pitting. The barrel is dated 1868 and the receiver is marked "MANUFACTURE IMPERIALE TULLE" on the right side. This would be a good choice for collecting. Buy online today!
