This is a WW2-era Mauser K98 rifle chambered in 8mm Mauser. It features a 24-inch barrel, 5-round capacity, claw extractor, tangent rear sight, hooded front sight, bayonet lug, cleaning rod leather sling, and steel buttplate. Overall, this Mauser is in good condition with normal age-related wear on the barrel, bolt, and stock. Bore condition is good with strong rifling. The receiver ring has a BYF manufacture code and a 44 date, indicating that this rifle was manufactured by Mauser in 1944. The receiver and bolt have been forced matched with electro pencil markings. A TG Knox import mark is discreetly located on the barrel. This would be a good choice for military surplus collecting. Buy online today!
